The Islander prospects might as well have taken the night off as 6 prospects combined for a total of 1 assist on the night. And for that no star are awarded tonight

Corey Trivino’s (2008 2nd) got the only point for the Islander prospects as his secondary assist on his Boston University Terriers first goal helped the Terriers to a 2-1 win over the Providence Friars.

Trivino now has 2 assists in 3 games on the season.

Anders Lee (2009 6th) and his Fighting Irish of Notre Dame pulled off the season’s biggest upset as they defeated top ranked Boston College 2-1. The more we get to see of Lee the more we really are liking his skill set.

Lee did not score but he showed that he can play in the big game and hold his own.

Casey Cizikas (2008 4th) did not score as his Mississauga St. Micheal’s Majors shut out the Plymouth Whalers 5-0. For us there was some extra satisfaction as former Ranger prospect Chris Doyle led the Majors with 2 goals.

Matt Donovan (2008 4th) was held scoreless for the 4th game in a row as his 13th ranked Denver College played to a 2-2 overtime tie with the 14th ranked Wisconsin Badgers.

Jason Clark (2010 3rd) was a healthy scratch for Wisconsin against Denver.

Brock Nelson (2010 1st) and Jason Gregoire (2007 3rd) were both held scoreless as their 2nd ranked North Dakota Fighting lost for the 2nd night in a row to the 11th ranked Maine Black Bears 4-2

Cody Rosen (2010 7th) still has not gotten to play a minute this year for the Clarkson Golden Knights. The sophomore goalie was a spectator again as Clarkson played to a 3-3 overtime tie with Bentley.

Kirill Kabanov (2010 3rd) we are getting word is now not expected to return from Russia until the end of the month. Kabanov was given “emergency personal leave” by his Moncton Wildcats to attend to private family matters.

This is fast becoming a lost season for Kabanov who really is a world class talent but needs as much ice time as he can get.
